Position Summary:

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in the Elk River, MN area who is hiring for CNC machinists! This person will be responsible for maintaining documentation, setting up and operating equipment, and conducting visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts.

Must Haves:

• 2-4 years of CNC machine operating experience within a regulated environment
• Proficient reading and understanding of blueprints, specifications, and procedures.
• Proficient in identifying nonconformances and maintaining organization.
• Ability to use hand-held tools for preventive maintenance, repairs, and tool changes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, pin and thread gauges, comparators, and vision systems.
• Perform first article inspections with minimal supervision.
• Complete all in-process and final AQL inspections, ensuring accurate data entry into the ERP system.
• Operate and maintain Citizen lathes, multi-spindle lathes, and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis production equipment, including mill-turns, and horizontal and vertical mills.
• Perform machine setups for complex legacy parts and new production orders to ensure stable and efficient operation.
• Execute tool changes and offsets to maintain production efficiency and part quality.
• Complete and maintain documentation in compliance with quality inspection standards.
• Utilize ERP and QMS systems to document inspection results and maintain material traceability.
• Ensure proper identification, control, and traceability of conforming and nonconforming materials.
