Job Description

Our client based in Fairfield County, CT is seeking a Human Resources Director to join their growing team. This strategic and hands-on leader will be responsible for overseeing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, training, and labor relations. This role is on-site with a salary in the $150k-$160k range plus fabulous benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals.
• Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on organizational structure, workforce planning, and people strategy.
• Serve as the primary liaison between management and union representatives.
• Support the administration of collective bargaining agreements and participate in negotiations as needed.
• Ensure consistent and fair resolution of employee issues and grievances.
• Oversee daily operations of the HR department including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and offboarding.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures, and programs are up to date and compliant with local, state, and federal laws.
• Guide leadership in performance management, coaching, and professional development efforts.
• Drive initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
• Maintain compliance with labor laws and workplace regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance to manage compensation structures and benefits offerings.
• Analyze and recommend improvements to enhance total rewards and employee satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to deliver high-quality service and support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Proven experience working with unionized workforces.
