A social services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Psychiatric team in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Full Time or Part Time
• Hours: 12am - 8am
• Setting: Stabilization Center

Responsibilities:

• Complete screening, assessments and Care of every client seeking services
• Evaluate severity of withdrawal symptoms using established screening tools
• Coordinate delivery and reception of medications with pharmacy
• Document all medications received and coordinate management of the meds while client is at the center
• Observe self-administration of medication
• Monitor withdrawal symptoms during detoxification according to established protocols
• Provide education and consultation to individual clients and/or groups on their health needs
• Assure clients' compliance with prescribe medical regimen
• Complete timely and accurate documentation on medical services rendered
• Complete all clinical documentation in EHR
• File all documents in the clients' charts upon completion
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and coordinate replenishment with Office Manager.
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Nursing experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience with Assessments and Case Management
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Desired Skills:

• Masters Degree in Nursing
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Experience with homeless families and/or veteran services highly
• Knowledge of Psychiatric Disorders and Chemical Dependency
