Job Summary:

Metric Bio is partnering with a leading clinical research site in Houston, TX, to find a dedicated Principal Investigator (PI) to support both current and upcoming psychiatric clinical trials. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the safety of participants, the quality of clinical data, and adherence to all regulatory and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the medical oversight of psychiatric trials conducted at the site.
• Evaluate study protocols, assess patient eligibility, and oversee the informed consent process.
• Monitor participant safety throughout the study, including the review of adverse events.
• Work closely with research staff, sponsors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth trial execution.
• Review and approve essential study documentation such as case report forms and source data.
• Ensure full compliance with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, and site SOPs.
• Attend investigator meetings and support staff training as needed.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with board certification (or eligibility) in Psychiatry.
• A current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas.
• Experience in clinical research is highly preferred, especially in a PI or Sub-Investigator capacity.
• Solid understanding of psychiatric conditions and related treatments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Availability to be consistently involved at the site regularly.
